November 22, 2016: vow renewal at the Marine Corps museum chapel
Teresa and Tom renewed their wedding vows at Semper Fidelis Memorial Chapel on the campus of the National Museum of the Marine Corps. It's a gorgeous venue with floor-to-ceiling glass windows and wooden beams crisscrossing overhead. You should definitely see it in person if you ever get a chance.
I snapped some candids as guests arrived. I love documenting people hanging out. Natural reactions are the best!
Teresa and Tom have been together eleven years already, but it felt like they were getting married for the first time; they smiled at each other all day. The couple's grandson got loose during the actual vow renewal. The photos of him roaming in his little suit are pretty cute.
Due to the steady drizzle, we didn't get to hit any of the outdoor portrait spots we planned in advance. Instead, we improvised inside the chapel. I like the way they came out!
To wrap up, I took some detail shots of the rings and the shoes then snuck a quick photo of Teresa as she left the chapel for her car.
Thanks again, Teresa and Tom, for asking me to photograph your vow renewal! I hope your love grows even stronger in the years to come.
