August 20, 2016: July 4 family gathering in Nashville, TN

Laura and I traveled to Nashville, TN during the weekend before July 4 to see my immediate family.  Like my recent Christmas vacation (story here), I took film cameras with me to document the hangs.  This time, though, I used two quasi-disposables instead of high quality SLRs and rangefinders.  Behold: the Canon Snappy Q and the Canon Snappy LXII!

The day we arrived, my sister Abby had planned a party for us and some of her friends.  Good food, beer, and conversation was enjoyed by all.

Radnor Lake State Park was a nice place for an extended walk through the woods.  That afternoon, we escaped the heat with some chill board games at the house.

I found a bunch of cool stuff to shoot at the Parthenon, Vanderbilt University, and hip spots around the city.  Oh, we went thrifting near our Airbnb rental, too.

Sadly, we had to part ways at some point.  I'm already looking forward to our next gathering (probably in December).
